Cologne 1933: ISOLDA, ROSA and HERMINE start their career in nursing service. Yet, when the first institutional trips to nursing homes and children's homes begins, their teaching units of forced sterilizations and mercy killings also begin, they end up in serious moral conflicts with each other.  The young midwives EILTRAUD and HEDDA have also had a hard time in the frail Weimar Republic, which is why they are also working as prostitutes at night. But their position is about to change. The fate of several nurses and midwives in Nazi Germany, the ideological upheaval in their professional fields, the possibilities for resistance and complicity in NS crimes.
